For SMEs and Association of SMEs

Enterprises especially SMEs, due to strong competition in the global economy, are forced to work closer together in a seamless manner. Interoperability is the overall approach to provide a multi-functional view and to facilitate the creation of a flexible evolving business environment.

Interoperability is also one important driver to improve Enterprise Collaboration and to decrease IT-Systems costs, particularly in Supply chains / networks, but also in Collaborative Administration.

SMEs are usually facing the following challenges:

– How to do R&D within a small structure?
– How to find new partners and collaborators?
– How to engage in the EU Framework Programme?

The associations of SMEs are welcome in INTEROP-VLab to represent SMEs by sector or by region. Already 5 associations have joined I-VLab.
